诺丁汉城市简介

特别说明

诺丁汉特伦特大学虽然在一些媒体的综合排名在五十多位，但其艺术学院，商学院，法学院及播音和传媒专业在英国排名前10位。同时，对于英语不够要求的学生，可以入读大学语言中心，而不需另考雅思。原则上每10个星期的语言课程可视为提高雅思1分的成绩。

另外，艺术设计学院的硕士课程入学时间多在每年1月。

Introduction to the Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University gained university status in 1992. Until then it had been Nottingham Polytechnic, and, before that, Trent Polytechnic. The building where its students' union is based, on Nottingham's Shakespeare Street, has a foundation stone laid by Gladstone for University College Nottingham.

One of the largest new universities, NTU's faculties feature a wide range of courses. Well known for its degrees in fashion, the university has a big creative arts department and one of the country's biggest law schools. Graduate employment from NTU is good, reflecting the university's investment in practical resources. For example, in the city centre campus library there is a managment centre to promote new management techniques and theories, and the centre for broadcasting and journalism has taken over the BBC's former studios in the city, which gives students unparalleled access to real broadcasting facilities.

The city itself, home to Raleigh bicycles, offers rich social possibilities: it is home to two universities and eight institutes of further education. Serious shoppers may be interested to hear that some call it the "Milan of the Midlands".

The students' union lays on a wide range of club nights, which include huge events at weekends, and various other entertainments. Some 2,400 places are reserved for first-year students in university accommodation.
