Up and coming band, Trash Money are to play at the University of Gloucestershire’s Pittville Studios campus, as part of an induction week for new students.

The band, formed by Joe Wilson, course leader of the popular music degree and former member of the band Sneaker Pimps, will host the gig in the Atrium, kicking off at 8pm on Friday 21 September.  The event is part of Stuart Wilding’s ‘Xposed Club’, a regular event to promote live and recorded music at the Pittville.

Trash Money was formed in 1999, with their first single You Lied Satan was named single of the week by NME. Their first album, Trash Money was released in 2006 and is an eclectic range of rock, electro, punk and disco tracks with a nostalgic twist.  Fans of the band include Lauren Laverne, The Mighty Boosh and Alan McGee.

Joe Wilson is a producer, musician and music manager, who has toured worldwide and sold over two million records with the band Sneaker Pimps. They had a string of chart hits in the mid 1990s, including UK top 10 hit Six Underground.

Joe is joined by Chris Tate and David Westlake who also played with Sneaker Pimps, along with Mary Dolittle Slade and Cary Creed.

Event organiser, Stuart Wilding is enthusiastic about the event: “It will be a fun evening including support acts and the audience is invited to bring their own drinks. It will provide a perfect opportunity to see what goes on at the ‘Xposed Club.’”
