Prudence的巧克力展启发学者

Internationally renowned food artist, Prudence Emma Staite will be the guest of honour at the University of Gloucestershire’s short courses open evening on Tuesday.

Prudence, a former foundation art student from the University, will be exhibiting a number of her extraordinary chocolate sculptures including a life size torso, a giant world cup and chocolate paintings in the main gallery.  People attending the open event will also have the opportunity see Prudence at work, sculpting chocolate into edible objects such as a vase of roses or a chocolate teapot. 

Prudence, from Pamington near Tewkesbury is attending the event to entertain and inspire people who might want to unleash their own creative spirit by signing up to one of the new evening and weekend courses being offered by the University. 

Starting from the first week in October,  the 10 week courses which include life-drawing, silkscreen printing, journalism, web design and photography will be held at Pittville Studios and give everyone from absolute beginners to old hands the chance gain extra skills and make new friends. The courses run on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6.30pm, with a five-week taster option available

Tutors will be available to answer any questions at the opening evening which starts at 6.30pm at the Pittville Studios campus on Albert Road, Cheltenham.

“It’s great news that Prudence is joining us on Tuesday at our open event,” said campus dean, Dan Howard.  “Prudence’s sculptures have to be seen to be believed and we are sure that chocoholics from across the county will take this opportunity to come and watch her work.”
