This September there is a wide range of career-focused, funded postgraduate courses for professional and personal development on offer at the University of Paisley.

The University of Paisley, which merged with Bell College on 1 August 2007 to form Scotland’s biggest, modern university, has an established reputation for innovative programmes of study, designed to meet the demands of existing and developing industries.

The University offers a wide range of postgraduate courses for entry this September, with options in International Marketing; Management; Knowledge Management; Computer-Aided Engineering; Quality Management; Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Advanced Computer Systems Development; Information Technology; Multimedia Communications; Alcohol & Drug Studies; and Environmental Management.

The MSc/Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology, which has been designed for students from a non-IT background who want to learn new skills and expertise in the area of new technologies, has option streams developed with industry and commerce. This gives students the opportunity to choose an area in which they wish to specialise, thus increasing their employability. Full-time and part-time options are offered, enabling students to fit study around work and other commitments.

The University’s MSc/Postgraduate Diploma in Multimedia Communications equips students from non-Multimedia backgrounds with the skills for a successful career in this developing sector. The course provides solid foundation in multimedia systems development allowing students to specialise in either web development or computer animation.

The University’s popular MSc/Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Computer Systems Development brings degree-holders in the relevant areas up-to-date in software and software development practices, enhancing their abilities in the work setting.

Running at University Campus, Hamilton is the Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management. Environmental Management, which requires candidates to hold a degree in a relevant science or management discipline, equips students with the skills required in the environmental consultancies and enforcement agencies. Students benefit from established links with industry, commerce and regulatory authorities such as SEPA.

The University’s successful business management courses aim to meet the needs of a constantly evolving business sector. MSc/Postgraduate Diploma in Management provides a broad introduction to the range of business and management disciplines for recent or new graduates. MSc/Postgraduate Diploma in International Marketing provides graduates, of any discipline, with a rigorous education in general management skills and in the many complex issues associated with marketing in an international context.
