比光速更快:公共讲座在萨里大学举行

The University of Surrey cordially invites members of the public to a free lecture about Concorde to be given by Captain Jock Lowe at the School of Management Lecture Theatre on Thursday, October 11 at 7p.m.

Captain Jock Lowe flew Concorde between 1975 and 2001. During that time he held the positions of British Airways Chief Pilot, Concorde Commercial Manager and Chief Concorde Pilot. In 2003 Concorde was finally retired. Jock will recount his time flying the world’s only successful supersonic passenger airliner as well as covering aspects of the aircraft’s commercial operation and how it was turned around to be profitable for British Airways.

The University of Surrey has been actively involved in the restoration of Concorde Delta Golf at Brooklands Museum, Weybridge. The University has brought about a series of lectures at Surrey to promote the technological achievements of Concorde and to highlight the collaboration between the University and the Museum at restoring Delta Golf.
