在温切斯特大学享受传统西方晚宴

By kind permission of the Earl of Devon (formerly Hugh Courtenay: H, 1955-60), thirty-eight Old Wykehamists and twenty-six wives and other guests were able to enjoy the wonderful ambience of Powderham Castle, near Exeter on Friday, 7th September.

After a guided tour of the Castle, everyone gathered on the Rose Garden terrace for pre-dinner drinks and witnessed at least one fly-pass of geese, set against the backdrop of many deer in the park and the River Exe beyond; thankfully, the weather kept its side of the bargain, too!
Dinner was held in the exquisite Music Room, following some welcoming words from Hugh Devon. During Dinner, David Fellowes, Director of Winchester College Society, delivered a few words, providing an update on the latest news from Win Coll, and then some of his own, principally about the new Winchester College Society.

The Sen Man was Jim Bourne, who entered the School seventy-five years ago (K, 1932-37).
