　　诺森比亚大学体育科学系主任。曾在利兹大学的英国赛事管理中心工作，成为该中心赛事管理硕士专业的创始人。在体育赛事领域工作了超过25年，他的客户包括可口可乐、百事可乐、切尔西俱乐部、利兹联俱乐部、ATP巡回赛等。他的研究主要集中在战略赛事策划，出版赛事相关研究专著数本。

　　Introduction

　　Guy Masterman joined the university in September 2005 as Head of Sport Sciences. Prior to that he was at the UK Centre for Events Management, Leeds Met University, as Postgraduate Course Leader where he helped found and then lead the first Masters Degree in Events Management. He has worked in the sports and events industries for over 25 years, the last 15 of which were spent as an independent consultant. His research focuses on strategic event planning and legacies and he sits on the editorial board of the International Journal of Events Research. He has authored two books Strategic Sports Events Management(2004) and Innovative Marketing Communications (2006) and has a third due to be published, Sponsorship (2007)
