(2006.12.06)(21:36:19)*staffs says to mai: At Level 1 you will follow modules that introduce you to the basic practical and theoretical knowledge required to make jewellery and fashion accessories in a range of precious and non precious materials including metal plastic, and other materials, basic design skills both two and three dimensional, supported by contextual knowledge. You will have opportunity to choose appropriate option modules from a range shared by all four awards in order to strengthen your expertise in a given area of practice. At Level 2 you gain much more specialist knowledge relating to jewellery design and manufacture including an opportunity to develop further material expertise, gain knowledge in the use of batch production processes. This culminates at Level 3 in an independent project.
