Part II:

1:I went to the theatre.(这句话如果写在墙上,我们看到后就会马上反应到:这是发生在过去某个时间的事情,但没有清楚标记究竟是什么时间)

Last week I went to the theatre.(噢,具体时间有了:last week)

示例2:I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting.(皆为过去的事情)

示例3:I did not enjoy it.

示例4:I got very angry.

5:I could not hear the actors. 出现了could!

示例6:I turned round.

7:I looked at the man and the woman angrily. They did not pay any attention.

8:In the end, I could not bear. I turned round again.

9:‘I can’t hear a word!’ I said angrily.

10:‘It’s none of your business,’ the young man said rudely, ‘This is a private conversation!’

A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. They were talking loudly.

Part III:

Last week I (1 go) to the theatre. I (2 have) a very good seat (3) the play was very interesting, (4) I did not enjoy it, (5) a young man and a young woman were sitting behind me (6) they were talking loudly. I got very angry (7) I could not hear the actors. I turned round (8) looked at the man and the woman angrily, (9) they did not pay any attention. (10) the end, I could not bear it. I turned round again. ‘I can’t hear a word!’ I said angrily. ‘It’s none (11) your business,’ (12) young man said rudely, ‘This (13) a private conversation!’

答案:

(1) went; (2) had; (3) and; (4) but; (5) for; (6) and; (7) because; (8) and; (9) but; (10) In; (11) of; (12) the; (13) is

Part IV:

1. I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting. I did not enjoy it. A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. They were talking loudly.

2. I got very angry. I could not hear the actors. I turned round. I looked at the man and the woman angrily. They did not pay any attention.

3. In the end, I could not bear it. I turned round again. ‘I can’t hear a word!’ I said angrily.

答案:

1. I had a very good seat and the play was very interesting, but I did not enjoy it, for a young man and a young woman were sitting behind me and they were talking loudly.

2. I got very angry, for I could not hear the actors, so I turned round and looked at the man and the woman angrily, but they did not pay any attention.

3. In the end, I could not bear it, so I turned round again and said angrily, ‘I can’t hear a word!’

Innocent Personators(假冒者)

During World War Two, a lot of young women in Britain were in the army. Joan Phillips was one of them. She worked in a big camp and of course met a lot of men, officers and soldiers.

One evening she met Captain Humphreys at a dance. He said to her: "I'm going abroad tomorrow, but I'd be very happy if we could write to each other. "Joan agreed and they wrote for several months. Then his letters stopped, but she received one from another officer, telling her that he had been wounded and was in a certain army hospital in England.

Joan went there and said to the the matron,(护士长) "I've come to visit Captain Humphreys."

"Only relatives are allowed to visit patients here." The matron said.

Oh, that's all right," answered Joan, "I'm his sister." "I'm very pleased to meet you," the matron said. "I'm his mother!"
