马朝霞：hi there it happens to my students too .In that case you can ask the examiner to say it again .My friend ,remember, you are officially allowed to ask him to say it again .Just calm down and be confident ,smile and ask: It's a very good question !Would you please say it again?Good luck!

马朝霞：Yeah !there are some new topics ,not too many though .I try to update all my topics for my dear students in New Channel school every half a month.They are pretty happy you know !some of the new ones are Public servant ,a place with water ,teenager ,a place for swimming , a place good for study ,a place for listening to music ,a famous Chinese female ,a person who helped to take care of you when you were in your childhood...p.s many topics that were pop last year are still hot ,say sth you lost ,newspaper job ,an old person ,a jouney you would like to take ,a city you have visited...see you in our class for all .Good luck!

网友：老师，自己在家怎样提高口语水平呢？

马朝霞：Good Q !well you've got to form an habit of speaking English all the time .Watch a show called -So you think you can dance ,my favourite!!!Read English &success(in our bookstore) ,another favourite haha...and of course go to Englsih corner or the best way ,we have a 6.5 speaking class ,all the 2008 IELTS speaking topics will be discussed in class with the help of a wonderful British Enlish teacher and another pretty cool person ,ME!haha see you soon!

马朝霞：I love your Q!want you to know ,you are not alone there !It happens to all the students at times!in this case ,you may try to explain ,for instance ,you want to say girls in our country love Liang Chaowei very much ,but you actually intend to use millions of girls would kill to get hold of Liang Chaowei.But in the test ,for a split second ,the sentence just escape your mind .Be cool and use as simple sentences as possible ,say ---you know ,wow ,girls are just crazy about Liang because they figure....and carry on with your talk!It's absolutely ok!Fluency is what matters the most!!!

网友：老师，自己一个人能不能练习口语有哪些方法？

马朝霞：Yeah!For general English!If for IELTS purpose ,better go to class !there are certain ways and strategies you may need to know ,say ,at the very beginning ,students will easily get intense or nervous ,in my class ,i always get those lovely friends practise the following greeting sentences:Good morning/afternoon ,it's a gorgeous day today ,isn't it?This is ...nice to be with you!Can I take a seat please ?It works like a magic for my stuents ,haha...There are many other more native saying and expressions of course ,like ,when you want to say you love Zhou Xingchi's movies ,you can say :I am sort of into Zhou xingchi's movies ,you know!Anyway talk to you ONE DAY face to face in Beijing NEW CHANNEL!Good luck with your English study1

网友：老师好,遇到自己完全不熟悉的题目,没有什么话可以说,或者拿到的题目比较难,中文都不知道该怎么说的时候怎么办?有什么技巧可以应付么?

马朝霞：Yeah it did happen!one little trick for you! say ,some boys are not comfortable talking shopping ,they would come to me and say ,Miss ma ,there are nothing to say ,we don't like shopping at all!well there ARE sth you can say,for instance ,you can first say I personally not into shopping at all but ...then tell the examiner if your girlfriend likes shopping ,Why is your GF into Shopping ?When and where ?what does she usually buy ?what's her favourite shopping piece?See? a lot !!But if the Q is really too tough ,say what do you think of Australian education system ?you just need to smile and calm down and teell the truth :It's a very cool Q!but to be really honest with you ,I haven't been to Aus ,guess it can be very different from ours though ,but it's a really good Q !

网友：我参加过2.2的考试，第一次考，实际上我的口语非常不好，不敢表达，怕错。最后拿到5.5其实也是意外了。我觉得我的口音倒是问题不大，只是表达时候的反应速度太慢了，流利程度受影响，词汇也单一。我应该如何改变这种现状呢？谢谢。

马朝霞：Thanks for The Q!don't worry about the grammar too much!basically ,as long as you can keep speaking English every day for a month ,dig out the passion for speaking ,find a good speaking partner ,learn some IELTS speaking strategies ,memorize a few native phrases (by all means ,all- time favourite ,the thing is ....)choose a good IELTS class ,use our speaking textbook (99%of speaking topics are there ,1% in my head haha ..)be really out there !!!you will be fine ,for a 6.5 i mean!See you one day!Good luck!

网友：口语要想6分，应该达到什么水平呢？

马朝霞：Thanks for the Q!But it's hard to say ,you know .I would say if you can get a good score in CET 4 ,you might just need about 6 weeks to prepare for a Band 6 (overall band),but the thing is ,even though quite a lot of students got a overall band6 ,speaking can be 5 5.5 6 6.5 0r some of them even got a 7 in speaking ,so it really just depends on how hard you try within the preparation time with the good start of a CET 4 .But if you are kind of outgoing person ,with a good CET 4 ,and you are in my class ,will do whatever speaking exercises i assign and follow exactly my strategies ,1 month is the time limit to get a 6 at least!

马朝霞：Part 3 of speaking test is rather tough!!!Please do try to read China Daily ,21 century in search of some related information ,And of course ,our speaking textbook is reall good ,written by the speaking examiner Mark .You can learn hips of tricks on how to develop your own ideas !Good luck!
