The ability to cooperate with their peers ( such as the tug of war, or "rope-pulling")

The ability to think independently and the skills to develop their competitive strategies (such as chess and card games)

Modern games also foster specific skills.

1 TECHNOLOGY

The skills to operate electronic and digital devices adeptly

2 EMPLOYMENT

Familiarity with video games can actually lead to careers in video-game and animation design as video games have become a major industry in many countries.

3 SOUL

Modern games nurture team spirit and the ability to collaborate with others as well ( such as CS and WOW)

CONCLUSION

Modern games are more reliant on the equipment, which just reflects how dependent the modern society is on technological innovations. Traditional games are not necessarily better than modern games in training children's skills as the definition of " skills" evolves over time.
