英国留学申请中，我们常提到的语言课程，其实是指国际学生申请英国大学时没有达到所申院校的语言要求，该校为申请人提供的入学前英语课程，一般作为录取申请人入读该校的条件。
在英国，语言课程一般分为8类，包括General English、English for Academic Purposes、English for Specific Purposes、Pre-sessional Courses等。其中，与留学生最为相关的无疑是学前英语课程（Pre-sessional Courses）。
