只知道G5就太弱了 最重要的英国大学集团及成员
英国大学中也存在着大大小小各种类型的大学集团，不同的集团有着不同的特征与福利。这些集团就像是985和211一样，抱团发展，但也有各自的特征。所以，英国大学可不止有G5一个集团，今天我们就来看看英国具体还有多少个大学集团，以及它们都有怎样的成员吧！
1.The Russell Group(罗素集团)
罗素大学集团是一个1994年成立的英国大学组织，它也被成为是英国的常春藤联盟。这个19所英国大学组成的英国校际集团是受国家自助的，所以它能够拿到大概整个英国大学65%以上的研究和赞助奖金。
就是因为这个集团那么土豪，所以它才能产生奖金300名诺贝尔奖得主。简直是学校界的人生赢家。
另外英国大学的金三角，也就是牛津、剑桥和伦敦大学，也都在这个集团里。

2.1994 Group(1994集团)
这个1994年建立的集团天生就是为了和罗素集团对着干。
它们的自我定位是：国际认可的英国大学，有着共同有着共同的目标，标准和价值观。
不过这个集团的11所英国大学最显著的特征居然是……大学学生人数不超过两万。

3.White Rose University Consortium (白玫瑰联盟)
这个听上去特别典雅的英国大学联盟成立于1997年，为什么交这个名字呢，是因为这个联盟里都是约克郡的英国大学，所以他们就挑了约克郡的郡花白玫瑰命名了。
没错就是这么简单的原因。
这个联盟最好的福利，也是其他联盟都没有的福利呢，和他们的地理位置息息相关。这些大学的学生是可以到处窜学校修学分的。他们的校际学位课程也比较多，所以对于没有选择困难症又喜欢新鲜感的学生来说，这个联盟必须是极好的。

4.Million+ Group
这个联盟因为名字的原因，知道的人并不是很多。但它其实也是老牌的英国大学联盟。1997年就成立了。
Million+也被称为大学智囊团，比较文艺范儿。它的宗旨是在为高等教育中出现的问题寻找解决方案，增强英国高等教育的整体实力，研究如何使应届毕业生在全球化的大环境中更具竞争力。
不过虽然这个联盟成立了很多年，他们吸收的英国大学都是大学界的小鲜肉，共有22所“年轻”的大学、学院组成。
哦对了，在英国，校龄不超过50岁的都是年轻大学。

5.Red Brick University(红砖大学)
其实红砖大学只有六所学校，不过它们都是除了牛津剑桥以外，英格兰地区最牛的英国大学。
这六个大学之所以都是红砖作外墙其实是因为它们都是英国维多利亚时期最重要的工业城市地区学校，所以建立之初都和科技工程有关，也都是皇家特许的。

6.UK Education Network(英国大学联盟)
作为一个2012年诞生的大学联盟，这个集团算是很牛的了。共有70所英国的科研型大学加入了这个组织，另外它也有和中国的高校进行一些合作，比如说南京大学。
这个集团的宗旨在于加强跨学科科研合作，目的是整合大学的资源共同改善社会环境。是不是理想很崇高？
